Robert Johnson

Robert is an experienced property and construction executive, having operated in four Australian states, in London, Singapore and in Hong Kong in numerous leadership, property development and construction roles.

He is an adaptable and experienced property and organisational leader. During his 39 year career at Lendlease, he led an array of businesses and projects both as startups and as established businesses.

After a long career in construction businesses in Australia and Asia, Robert led Lendlease and GPT’s Rouse Hill Town Centre development through the initial development phase and to financial close 2003-2006. In London in 2007, he led Lendlease’s JV with Quintain at the Greenwich Peninsula, and then in 2008-2010, he was Project Director for the London Olympic Village (2818 apartments).

In recent years he has chaired major projects in Singapore, Melbourne and Perth in a part-time capacity, and advised McDonalds India, PWC and Asciano. He is a Chartered Professional Engineer (Ret’d) and President of the Balmoral Beach Club.

Robert Farrell

Robert is an experienced businessman and entrepreneur who, with his former business partner, invested in, and built three successful Australian businesses:

1. Laing+Simmons Commercial was built over 21 years and sold to Cushman & Wakefield, in January 2008.

2. Laing+Simmons Corporation, was acquired and grown from 21 offices to 50 offices over 17 years before being sold to DEXAR Group from Canberra in May ‘12.

3. The partnership also established Laing+Simmons Wealth Management Pty Ltd in August 2009. This company owns and operates R.E. PortNordica Funds Management Ltd, syndicating sophisticated investments including property mortgage trails, property development opportunities, and strategically located caravan parks. Laing+Simmons Wealth Management has raised $800M in equity, which has been recycled, on behalf of Investors, over the last 5 years.

Robert’s experience gained in operating his own businesses has enabled him to build an impressive list of business relationships. He is currently retained as an investment advisor by the Over Fifties Friendly Society and is a Director of Park Investment Partners and Farrell Real Estate Services.

Hugh Mapplebeck

Hugh has worked in the financial services industry for over 30 years. He is an experienced Chartered Accountant (PwC) and has held numerous leadership roles in the Finance departments of a number of International Banks in London. (BNP Paribas, ABN Amro, HSBC).

On moving to Sydney in 2007 Hugh joined Halifax Bank of Scotland (BOS International) in the Investment Management team, responsible for the equity asset management of the Bank’s property joint ventures. At its peak, the portfolio included over $1 billion property assets including residential developments hotels and other commercial property. He spent 7 years managing down the portfolio and continued to manage the assets for Lloyds Bank (who purchased HBOS in 2009) after their exit from Australia in June 2014 before joining PIP.

James Basham

Project Manager
A civil engineer by training, James is a founding director of Gilmore Advisory with 30 years’ experience in the property development, building and engineering industries.

Melody Lucas

Sales Manager
Melody is an extremely accomplished business woman who combines experience in multiple industries with qualifications in several disciplines, including an MBA.

In addition to operating her own businesses over the years, Melody was also the Sales and Marketing/General Manager of another Lifestyle Resort in Far North Queensland for over six years and this role has given her comprehensive knowledge of the industry itself and an in-depth understanding of issues affecting older Australians. Moreover she is passionately ethical and really cares about people; Melody will definitely look after you and ensure that all your dealings with Affinity Lifestyle Resort are both enjoyable and positive.

Melody heads a management team of caring and professional staff who look after of all the day to day sales and operational needs of the development
