Some 89% of consumers say that they trial a competitor following a poor online experience. Some 95% of users of online devices say that a good user experience is important. But, what are the characteristics of a good user experience? This is the fourth of five thoughts touching on this complex issue.
Research in the United States has found that 82% of consumers like reading blogs on a business website. Blogs improve the customer experience and increase the level of consumer engagement.
Another study found that 70% of consumers say that they learn about a business from its blog. Blogs are an important source of information. Research suggests that blogs inform consumers, not just about the business, but also about the products and services available in the industry.
Another study found that 60% of consumers report that they feel more positive about a business after reading its blog. This reflects the growing power of giving (in this case information) before attempting to sell something.
A further study found that 71% of businesses publishing blogs report that high-quality content improves the customer experience and increases consumer engagement.
All of these findings highlight the potential of business blogs to inform and engage customers while enhancing the image of the business. Features of a good blog include:
- Relevant content
- Practical information
- Interesting information
- Thought provoking
- Easy to read
- Concise content
- Excellent design
- Clear focus
- Great images
